| Midsummer's Daydream Concert Series Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 - 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm The popular Midsummer's Daydream Concert Series is returning to downtown Hattiesburg. The concert series will be performed by the Strings Quartet from the Southern Miss Symphony on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week throughout various downtown restaurants during lunch hour from 12-1. The schedule is as follows: June 30-July 2 ,brownstone's; July 7-9, Hub City Diner; July 14-16, Depot Coffee House; July 21-23, Bianchi's Pizzeria; July 28-30, Walnut Circle Grill; August 4-6, 206 Front; and August 11-13, The Pastry Garden. Come out and enjoy a refreshing lunch experience. |
| Drum Corps International at Southern Miss Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 - 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm As the kickoff event of the 2010 Drum Corps International Tour’s Southern Series, top World Class corps will return on Wednesday, July 28 to M.M. Roberts Stadium at the University of Southern Mississippi. The four-event Southern Series, including shows in Gadsden, Ala. and Murfreesboro, Tenn., will culminate at the Atlanta Georgia Dome on Saturday, July 31 |

Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market

The Pine Belt Farmers & Artisans Market Alliance seeks to improve the quality of life and health of communities across the Pine Belt by promoting positive social engagement as well as cultural enhancement through interconnected local economic relationships and exciting public gatherings focusing on local food. The Market begins in Hattiesburg on the 1st Thursday of April, this year April 1st, and continues every Thursday through the end of October. The Hattiesburg location for the Pine Belt Farmers' and Artisans' Market will continue to be Town Square Park, at the intersection of Main & Buschman Streets. The Market begins every Thursday afternoon at 3 PM and continues until 6 PM in the evening. Every week expect to find a seasonal variety of locally grown, fresh farm produce in addition to a wide variety of dairy options, delicious prepared foods of all types and nursery plants.
